Morocco the Dream
Morocco the Dream
Ride the Dream
“One Thousand and One Nights” tales have been told in the Sahara desert for centuries around bonfires. The name “Morocco” alone generates feelings of tales and mystery. Immediate associations of colorful markets, aroma of spices, jugglers and sorcerers, sultans and kings, caravans of camels moving through the desert, deserted mud fortresses on the slopes of barren mountains, and Arabic warriors dressed with their Turbans and Harem pants, swinging their Scimitar swords…
But Morocco is richer than any dream. It offers unique and majestic nature combined with a fascinating and colorful culture.
On this tour we will take you through this diverse land – from the snowy high Atlas Mountains to the royal cities, from the desolate Sahara border to the bustling markets. High mountain passes and picturesque charming Berber villages, the oasis of the Draa river and the green Reef Mountains above the Mediterranean shoreline. Roads to nowhere and from nowhere… Marrakesh. Wonderful hand picked special lodging – Riads, Kasbahs, and others…
Our Motorcycle tour to Morocco is planned to take you through a magical journey that is Morocco, north to south. The best rides and experiences a motorcycle-traveler can ask for.

TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Welcome to Marrakesh!
Upon arrival you will be transferred directly to a nearby hotel. After putting your luggage in the room and freshening up, we will convene for a “meet and greet” and to receive your bike.
Day 2: Crossover to Morroco (350 K / 220 M)
We will ride out of Malaga and hit the highway towards the well known town of Tarifa, from which we will hop on the ferry that leaves through The Straits of Gibraltar. We will cross The Mediterranean at the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean entering the gates of Marrakesh at the port of Tangier. From there, after taking care of some logistics (passports, stamps, etc..), we will take a beautiful ride heading for the Riff Mountains and one of the most enchanting cities in Morocco, Chefchaouen.
Day 3: Chefchaoen to Azrou (270 K / 170 M)
After an early morning tour between the beautiful blue alleyways of Chefchaouen, we will continue riding south. As we descend from the ridge we will slowly approach the fertile Sebu Valley which drains the Riff Mountains from the north and the Atlas Mountains from the south and east. We’ll keep heading south on its slope until reaching the northern part of the Atlas. There we’ll encounter cedar forests, monkeys and cool temperatures; quite a different scene from the morning.
Day 4: Azrou to Marrakech (470 K / 290 M)
Today we will ride along the Northern slopes of the Atlas where you really feel the landscape change between the Mid and High Range. The Earth, the vegetation, the climate, the abundance of water… beautiful areas for walking, waterfalls & lakes, breathtaking views and great roads is the only way to sum it up. It is a long ride today though, and the optimal route will be determined by our pace. In the evening we will arrive in Marrakesh where we will spend the next two evenings.
Day 5: Rest Day & Tour of Marrakesh
Marrakesh is Morocco in its entirety. A city that combines ancient and new, east and west, arid desert and watered gardens, the Atlas mountains peering above rooftops built on top of crumbling clay walls, vibrant markets bustling with tourists alongside local peddlers and those who came from afar to sell their wares. A crossroads where all those thousand-and-one-night stories were kept. We will take a tour of the city’s major markets and sites and hear about its establishment and the important dynasties that ruled. And of course there will be free time to roam as you please.
Day 6: Marrakesh – Ouarzazate (180 K / 110 M)
The Tizi N Tichka is the highest mountain pass in the Atlas Mountains and the most suitable for motorcycles. A gateway to the Sahara Desert with its endless twists and turns reaching heights of 2260 m. We will take the road to the beautiful Kasbah Telouet and descend the spectacular valley to Aït Ben Haddou – restored UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah famously depicted in many paintings and films.
Day 7: Ouarzazate to Agadez (180 K / 110 M)
For the first half of the day we’ll have a small taste of the Anti-Atlas Mountain range, a desolate wilderness with fantastic landscape configurations. In the second part of the day, we will reach the great green valley of Hadra, an amazing strip of greenery in the heart of the arid landscape with endless palm groves in unspeakable quantities. Riding through villages of mud-brick homes we will continue southeast as far as Zagora where we will spend the night.
Day 8: Agadez to Dades (220 K / 140 M)
Between the mountains of the Atlas and Anti-Atlas. Between the depths of the Draa Valley and Dades Gorge. Our day starts with the most beautiful section of road between Agadez and Ouarzazate, the most filmed town in Morocco and the birthplace of the Little Prince. We then continue riding passed and through thousands of Kasbahs until we reach the beautiful Dades Gorge.
Day 9: Dades to Merzouga (330 K / 200 M)
Today we reach the Sahara. In the morning, we will visit the beautiful Todra Valley and Gorge and then continue East to the Algerian border to the stunning sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. The land of undisturbed hills of golden sand underneath the great night sky, here in the desert is where we will spend our night.
Day 10: Merzouga to Fes (470 K / 290 M)
Switching directions today we’ll head north back to the mountains. Beginning with a long ride through the desert and later reaching the regions of the Atlas Mountains where we will make the climb up towards the northern green side of the ridge. This is a long amazing day of riding that illustrates the size and diversity of Morocco’s landscapes. In the evening we will reach Fes where we will spending the night.
Day 11: A Rest Day & Tour of Fes
Fes is the crowned jewel of Morocco. The second largest and one of four royal cities (Fes, Meknes, Rabat, Marrakesh) it offers its tourists a plethora of colors in the form of the many markets and beautiful handmade crafts. Then there is the Tannery quarter, an ancient city beautifully preserved within thousands of alleyways, so lively and fascinating. We’ll devote as much as we can to Fes.
Day 12: Fes to Malaga Spain (370 K / 230 M)
Departing Fes we will take a wonderful ride back to Tangier, Gibralter and finally the ferry where we say goodbye to Morocco and return to the southern regions of Spain. A last ride on Spanish roads until arriving in Malaga where we return the bikes. We will have our farewell dinner and spend our last night in Malaga.
