Italy – Tuscany

A tour through central Italy is definitely  bucket list worthy!  Riding the magnificent roads through the regions of Tuscany and Umbria, known for its landscapes, traditions, history, artistic legacy, wine and influence on high culture, is a feast for all the senses.

This tour is characterized by mega-style with a luxurious touch combining the finest in motorcycle riding, culture, wine & dining.  The boutique hotels along the route, simply put, are GORGEOUS and make it very difficult to leave, so we have decided to stay two nights at a couple of them.

We will tour important historical sites along the way, absorb the abundance of culture, history & style and breath in the nature as we ride through the rare beauty that is the heart of Italy.  Here are some highlights of the places we will ride:

Orvieto – One of the most famous  Etruscan cities and the most unique of Umbrian towns.
Assisi – The town and birthplace of St. Francis.
The Chianti region – Known for its gentle hills covered with wide fields of vineyards and olive groves, small stone villages.
Val d’Orcia – The most beautiful and picturesque region in Tuscany.  As depicted in hundreds of works of art from Renaissance painting to modern photography with its rolling hills, rows of cypresses, and vineyards.
San Gimignano – The hill town encircled by 13th century walls, with its well known tower in its center and skyline known as the “Manhattan of Ancient Times”
Monte Amiata and the great hot springs of Saturnia
Pienza – Known for its porcini cheese and Renaissance architecture
Montalcino – Known for its Brunello di Montalcino wine,  one of Italy’s best-known and most exclusive.
Norcia – Known in the sausage, ham and truffle industry
Monte Sibillini, Gran Sasso and campo Imperatora in the heart of the wild Apennines Ridge, known as Italy’s “little Tibet”
